The Football Foundation’s Junior Kit scheme
offers £400 vouchers for new football kit and equipment to teams of
U18s and adults with learning disabilities at schools and clubs across
the country.
Items available include a full strip, training bibs, balls, flags
and kit bags – everything a young footballer needs to play the game
and all absolutely free of charge.
A ‘fitted’ female range of kits for girls is also now available to
help support the growth of the women’s game as the fastest growing
sport in the country.
England and Arsenal star Theo Walcott, Ambassador for the Football
Foundation’s Junior Kit Scheme, said: “I know how important it is
for young players to feel they are wearing the best kit when running
out on the pitch.
"The Junior Kit Scheme is a great opportunity to get free kits
from the Football Foundation, which I wear in the Premier League.”
The Football Foundation receives £15 million a year from each of
its funding partners – The Football Association, the Premier League
and Government. Its Junior Kit Scheme provides £1 million worth of
kit and equipment to junior clubs and schools every year, ensuring
young players of all abilities have the best possible start in the
game. Over 220,000 youngsters have been kitted out through the scheme
so far.
