RULES |

|
| NAME |
|
1. The Competition shall be called "The
Leeds & District Football Association Sunday Junior Cup,
Minor Cup and The Black Prince Trophy Competition". |
| CONTROL |
|
2. The Council of the Leeds & District F.A.,
through its Youth Committee, shall have the entire control
and management of the Competitions. Any questions relating to
the interpretation of the Rules of the Competition shall be
referred to the Youth Committee. |
| CLUBS TO COMPETE |
|
3. Clubs affiliated to the Leeds & District
Football Association and other such Clubs as the Youth
Committee may approve, who play in a Junior League, shall
enter the Sunday Junior Cup for U17 and U18 teams. The Minor
Cup shall be for teams at U16 and The Black Prince Trophy
Competition for teams at U15. The Youth Committee shall have
the power to refuse the entry of any Club into the
Competition. |
| ENTRANCE FEE |
|
4. The Youth Committee shall decide annually the
entrance fee to be paid by each team, which must be forwarded
to the Association Treasurer no later than 15th October each
season. |
| QUALIFICATION OF PLAYERS |
|
5. A player shall be eligible to play in the
Sunday Junior Cup if under 18 years of age on the 31st August
in the year the season commences. A player shall be eligible
to play in the Minor Cup if under 16 years of age on the 31st
August in the year the season commences. A player shall be
eligible to play in The Black Prince Trophy Competition if
under 15 years of age on the 31st August in the year the
season commences. |

Contract Players as defined in Football
Association Rules are not permitted in these Competitions. No
player registered with an F.A. Premier League or Football
League Academy will be permitted to play in this Competition.
A player registered with a Centre of Excellence may only play
in this Competition subject to the Programme for Excellence. |
|
|
A player shall not be eligible to play for more
than one Club/Team in the Competition. |
|
|
No player under the age of 17 as of midnight on
31st August in any season shall not be permitted to play more
than one game per day in this competition. |
|
|
Each individual player must have been a
recognised playing member of the Club for which he competes,
at least seven days prior to the date fixed for the game but
no player may become qualified after March 1st of the current
season. A playing member is one who has either played for the
Club in the current season, or who has been registered with
the League seven days before the date fixed for the round. A
player who is serving a County Suspension Order may play in
postponed ties after the term of suspension has expired. |

A Club may at its discretion and in accordance
with the Laws of the Game may use three substitute players in
any match in this competition who shall be selected from three
substitute players nominated to the Referee before the game. A
player who has been selected, appointed or named as a
substitute before the start of the match but does not actually
play in the game shall not be considered to have been a player
in that game. The Referee shall be informed of the names of
the substitutes not later than 10 minutes before the start of
the match, their full names must also be included on the
official list of players and on the match result sheet. |

In The Minor Cup Competition and The Black
Prince Trophy Competition ONLY, a Club may, at its discretion,
use roll-on, roll-off substitute players from the three
substitute players nominated to the Referee before the
commencement of the game. A responsible Official of each Club
shall inspect the identity cards of their opponents. Failure
to present identity cards before the game will render such
players ineligible to play. A team in default may be fined up
to and not exceeding £50.00 and the cup fixture shall be
decided by the Youth Committee. The Youth Committee shall have
the power to suspend or expel such Clubs, teams or players
from the Competition who violate this Rule. |
| SENIOR CHALLENGE CUP RULES SHALL
APPLY Rules 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21,
22, 23, 24, and 25. |
|
Special Note: The financial
penalties listed in the Senior Challenge Cup Competition shall
not apply to the Sunday Junior, the Minor Cup and The Black
Prince Trophy Competition. The Youth Committee shall decide
the financial penalties to be imposed on Clubs who fail to
carry out their obligations. |
| DURATION OF MATCH |
|
13. All matches before the Semi-finals shall
have a duration as set out below unless a shorter time (not
less than 30 minutes each half) is mutually arranged by the
two captains in consultation with the Referee before the
commencement of the match and in any event shall be of equal
halves. |
|
|
The Youth Committee shall decide the length of
time to be played in the Final Tie. |
|
|
For Youth Football - The duration of play shall
be as follows unless it is mutually agreed by all parties to
reduce the time. For the Sunday Junior Cup, 45 minutes each
half. For the Minor Cup, 40 minutes each half. For The Black
Prince Trophy Competition, 40 minutes each half. In the event
of the scores being level at the end of the game, 20 minutes
extra time shall be played in two equal periods of ten
minutes. The half time interval shall be of ten minutes
duration, but it shall not exceed fifteen minutes. The half
time interval may only be altered with the consent of the
Referee. If the score is level after extra time, the winners
will be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty
mark in accordance with the International Board Decision
contained in the Laws of Association Football. |
| REARRANGED TIES |
|
14. Matches postponed shall be played on the
following Sunday or on a date to be arranged by the Youth
Secretary, unless the Clubs agree to an earlier date or unless
the Youth Committee decides otherwise. The appropriate
Committee will deal with abandoned matches. |
| REFEREES AND ASSISTANT REFEREES |
|
15. Registered Referees and Assistant Referees
for matches shall be appointed in a manner approved by the
Referees Committee and approved annually by the West Riding
County Football Association. In the event of the
non-appearance of the appointed Referee, the appointed Senior
Assistant Referee shall take charge and a substitute Assistant
Referee appointed by the competing teams. |

In all rounds before the Semi-final, each Club
shall appoint one Club Assistant Referee, unless the Committee
deems it advisable to appoint neutral Assistant Referees. In
cases where the officially appointed Referee fails to appear,
the Clubs must agree in writing to a substitute Referee. The
Referee agreed upon shall for that game have the full powers,
status and authority of a registered Referee. |

|
Match Officials appointed shall be entitled to
charge standard class public transport expenses or private car
expenses of 20p per mile and by the shortest route, together
with the following match fees, Referees in rounds prior to
semi-finals £14.00, in semi-finals £15.00, in the final £16.00.
Where Assistant Referees are appointed they shall be paid half
the fee paid to the Referee plus expenses. All fees and
expenses are subject to any limits laid down by the West
Riding County FA. |

When Assistant Referees are appointed their fees
and expenses shall be shared equally by both clubs. The Home
Club shall pay the Officials their fees and expenses
immediately after the match in the Referee's changing room. |
